HARPER James S. Harper, of Westerville, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2012. He was a graduate of Cambridge High School and The Ohio State University. Served in the US Army, stationed in Alaska; worked for the US Postal Service and the Internal Revenue Service, and was self-employed in the health industry. Born May 2, 1933, in Kimbolton, OH. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Preceded in death by parents Columbus and Leota (Addis) Harper and brothers Rev. Franklin and Ray Harper. Survived by caring and devoted wife of 57 years, Margene; loving and supportive children, Philip and Eric (Mirna) Harper of Columbus, OH, Karen (Jonathan) Wiant of Rochester Hills, MI, and Janis (Gary) Cornelius of Galena, OH; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A service of celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, July 7, in the sanctuary of Central College Presbyterian Church, 975 S. Sunbury Rd., Westerville, OH at 11 a.m., with visitation at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service. Memorial donations may be made to Central College Presbyterian Church.
