Charles Raymond "Chuck" Legner

LEGNER Charles "Chuck" Raymond Legner, 75, of Wilder, Ky, passed away on Tuesday, July 10th at St. Elizabeth Hospice Center, Edgewood, Ky. Born September 23, 1936 in Independence, Ky to Joseph and Ellen McDermott Legner, who preceded him in death, as did his son, Joseph Allen and sisters, Rosemary Russell, Dorothy Jackson, and brothers Bob, Lawrence and Bill. Chuck is survived by his wife, Freda; son, Steven (Deborah), Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; brother, Joseph (Nancy); granddaughter, Aimee; great-grandchildren, Trystan and Akasha; and many nieces and nephews. Chuck is a Korean War Veteran of the U.S. Army, and the retired president of the C.R. Legner Company, Mechanical Contractors, and past president of the Kuempel Company, Columbus, OH. He was a life member of ASHRAE, held numerous professional licenses in the HVAC industry associations, and served on various related committees. Chuck was a member of Mother of God church, Covington, Ky, and a member of American Legion Post # 0153, Dayton, Ky. Mr. Legner's body has been donated to the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. A memorial mass will be held at Mother of God Church, 116 West 6th St., Covington, Ky. on July 28th at 12noon.
