MOORE Jimmie Ray Moore, 76 of Delaware, died Saturday, September 1, 2012 at home. He was born April 21, 1936 in Morgantown, WV to Edith Pearl (Croston) and James Currier Moore. Jimmie is survived by his wife, Jane Anne (Corder) whom he married June 30, 1958; two daughters were blessings to this marriage, Melissa Jane (Phillip) Mercer and Jennifer Anne (Randy) Turner of Delaware; their five grandchildren are, Calvin Turner, Ben Turner, Michael Mercer, Jane Mercer and Claire Turner. Jimmie graduated from Morgantown High School in 1954 and attended West Virginia University. Following a term in the United States Army, he was employed by General Motors working at the Fisher Body Plant in Cleveland and later in Tecumseh, MI and Euclid, OH. Following his retirement he became an avid golfer and model train enthusiast. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and served several years on the board of trustees. Visitation will be from 12:30-2 p.m. Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the First Baptist Church, Delaware, Ohio where a Celebration of Life service will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Tim Chesser officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church. ROBINSON FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
