DEVEREAUX James Thomas Devereaux, age 70, a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend, went home to be with The Lord on Tuesday, September 11, 2012. James was a veteran of United States Marine Corps. Active member with AA with 37 years sobriety. One of the founders of the Dessert Island Club on the westside of Columbus. Preceded in death by parents James and Martha Devereaux, brother Mike, grandson James Michael. Survived by children, Anthony (Lisa) Garrison, Nina (Shannon) Tolle, Mark Devereaux, Jamie Wylie, Jimmy (Kathy) Devereaux and Stephanie Happ; grandchildren, Mandy, Tina, Ryan, Aarron (Leah), Marc, Kalen, Amanda, Christopher (Meg), Austin, John, Ryan, Sara, Joseph, Jeremiah, Jonas and Joe; great- grandchildren, Kyler, Miya, Lily, Noah, Leila, James Michael, Elan, Jaylin and Destiny; sisters, Mary Ellen (Fred), Joanne, Pat (Ron), Dorothy (Fred) Kay (John) and Rose; many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. Friends may call at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, 2693 W. Broad St., Thursday, 4-8 p.m. Funeral Mass, 10:30 a.m. Friday, Holy Family Catholic Church, 588 W. Broad St. Father Kevin Lutz, Celebrant. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be always at your back, may the sun shine warm upon your face and the rains fall soft upon your fields, and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand.
