DUPLER Dan Michael Dupler, age 65, of Upper Arlington, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2012. Dan was born and raised in Columbus, son of Dale "Dan" and Myrna Dupler. Also preceded in death by his wife Lora Dupler. Dan was a proud graduate of the Class of 1965 from Upper Arlington High School, where he excelled in both football and track. Following, Dan went on to graduate with his Masters degree from The Ohio State University where he was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. Dan worked as a teacher and coach for Watterson, Upper Arlington, West and East High School, coaching football, track, swimming, and baseball. He taught and coached 3 generations of students and was a mentor and friend to many. He was the founder and organizer for the Central Ohio All Star Football Game from 1983-2008. Dan always enjoyed a good jam session playing his guitar, vacationing in Cocoa Beach, and cheering on the Buckeyes or the Gators. He will be greatly missed by his children, Kate Mead, Tony (Annastasia) Dupler, Jamie (Tiffany) Dupler, and Laine Dupler; grandchildren, Jacob, Thomas, Nathan, Andrew, Evan, Avery, and Ella; parents, Dale "Dan" and Myrna Dupler; mother-in-law, Leah Bisciotti; sister, Kathie (Reed) Roig; nephew, Ben Roig; and many other extended family members and friends. Family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2012 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd.
