FOGEL Gerald "Jerry" Sargent Fogel, 81, died peacefully in his sleep with his faithful companion, Einstein the cat, at his side. He was born in Fort Wayne, IN. As a Marine, Jerry served his country in combat in Korea. After attending Purdue University, his career was spent as a mechanical and automotive engineer. He earned a 3rd degree black belt in Karate and spent many years teaching martial arts. Jerry was preceded in death by his son Thomas, in 2008. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Emily; daughters, Leslie (Steve) Kenney of Indianapolis and Joanie (Jo) of Anchorage, AK.; and three grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at the Unitarian-Universalist Church, 93 W. Weisheimer Rd. on Tuesday, November 6 at 1 p.m. After cremation, his cremains will be inurned at the National Military Cemetery in Marion, IN. Contributions may be made to the
