CARSON Charles Robert Carson Jr., born October 14, 1928, died November 5, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles (Anna) Carson and his wife of 52 years, Caroline. Chuck was a graduate of Technical High School in Springfield, Massachusetts. Following his graduation he enlisted in the United States Army serving his country during WWII. Chuck graduated from Boston University in 1951 and began his long and successful career with General Electric. He retired as a Senior Vice President after 36 years of service. An active member of the Columbus business community for 30 years, Chuck served on several boards including Worthington Industries and was a Trustee of The Ohio State University. Chuck had a presence about him that echoed his personal drive and success and he generously shared his wisdom and experience with friends and colleagues. Chuck was an avid golfer and active member of Double Eagle Club and Muirfield Village Golf Club where he served as Captain. He is survived by his daughter, Candace Carson. Chuck will be greatly missed by his many friends and family. Friends may call Friday, November 9, 2012, 9:30- 10:30 a.m. at the St. John's Episcopal Church, 700 High St. 43085, where a Funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. Fr. Philip College officiating.
