LUDWIG Lewis L. Ludwig, age 82, formerly of Akron, Ohio and Vermilion, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2012. He resided the past two years at Feridean Commons in Westerville, Ohio. He was born August 30, 1930, in St. Clairsville, Ohio to Lena and Lewis H. Ludwig. Lew is survived by his wife of 57 years, Nancy; son, Lewis Jr. (Karen); daughter, Laura Kramer (Kevin); grandchildren, Kristen Ludwig, Kelly Kloppmann (Sam), David Ludwig, Daniel Ludwig, Katie Ludwig, Emily Ludwig, James Kramer, and Sam Kramer. He graduated from Ohio State University and worked as an engineer for many years at B. F. Goodrich and Flexible Steel Lacing Company. He was an expert in the field of conveyor belts. An avid runner, Lew participated in races until age 78. He was active in running clubs in Akron, Ohio, Lisle, Illinois, Naples, Florida, and Vermilion, Ohio. Lew will be dearly missed by his family and friends. A celebration of Lew's life will take place at Rodman's Funeral Service, 5464 N. High Street, Columbus, Ohio at 10 a.m., November 24, 2012.
