NOBLE Catherine (Kay) M. Noble, after a lengthy illness, peacefully journeyed to eternal life on January 21, 2013. She recently celebrated her 80th birthday surrounded by her family. Kay was the only child to Mary Ann and Loraine (Barney) Morter. She grew up on a farm that her father farmed in Washington Ct. House and graduated from Washington Ct. House High School in 1951. She then attended The Ohio State University where she earned a bachelor's degree in early childhood development and was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority, and later earned her Master's Degree. She worked in the Columbus School District for over 30 years and was principal of Douglas Alternative Elementary School for 20+ years. Her cutting-edge visions of open and age blended classrooms were the success of this school and gave every student the best opportunity for success in learning. She and her husband Dan loved to travel and their adventures took them to many destinations spanning four continents. But her favorite destination was the annual family trip to the North Carolina Shores with her children and grandchildren; the first trip being more than 30 years ago. She is preceded in death by her son Keith M. Feike, and beloved husband Dan A. Noble. She leaves behind two daughters, Lisa (Andy) Sabula of Marysville, OH, and Marianne (Mike) Bruening of Westerville, OH; step-son and daughter, Chris (Mary Ann) Noble of Worthington, OH and Caroline (Bill) Pharmer of Ocala, FL; and daughter-in-law, Margaret Feike of Grove City, OH; as well as 12 wonderful grandchildren that was the light of her life, and many other family and friends. She has touched many lives and will be deeply missed. Until we meet again in the Kingdom of God, may the peace of our Lord, Jesus Christ be with you. Family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, January 25, 2013 at the RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High St., Worthington. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 26 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 9633 Ohio 37, Sunbury, OH 43074. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Homereach Hospice, 800 McConnell Dr., Columbus, Oh 43214. Condolences may be sent to www.rutherfordfuneralhomes.com
