GARNER Shawn Kay Garner, age 46, took her heavenly flight on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 in the comfort of her own home. Shawn was an ambassador for God and she served Him all the days of her life. She devoted her talent and gifts to the First Church of God music ministry as the director of the Mass Choir for many years. Shawn was an awesome singer who ministered to many. She was very active and loved to travel. There wasn't one place she would go where she would not make a friend. Shawn will be forever remembered by the legacy she leaves. She will be sorely missed. Preceded in death by parents Deacon Leroy and Peggy Garner. She leaves to cherish her memory, sisters, Shelly (Barry) Cummings, Stacie (James) Terry, Cheryl (George) Moss, and Sheila Garner; nieces, Peighton and Kennedy Garner and Chelsi Cummings; nephews, Maxwell Cummings, Mike Garner, Marcus and Ryan Baird, Kristin Garner; and three great-nephews; close relatives and friends, Judy Johnson, Dwayne and Robin Washington and Yvonne Brewer. Also leaving to cherish her life a host of aunts, cousins and friends Shawn loved dearly. Special thanks to Mrs. Emma Jeannie Suarez. She committed her time to care for our sister in her most trying times. We love you Mrs. Jeannie! May God forever grace your life with many blessings. Homegoing celebration will be Monday, January 28, 2013, 7 p.m. at the First Church of God, 3480 Refugee Road. Bishop Timothy J.
