Obituary Condolences

Pfeifer Gerald Pfeifer, 78, of Buffalo, entered into peace with the Lord on February 3, 2013. Jerry was born August 21, 1934 into a large German Catholic family to the late Peter and Rosa Pfeifer in Hays, Kansas. He attended St. Joseph Military Academy and graduated from Hays High before continuing his education at Ft Hays College. Jerry served the US Army proud in the 101st Airborne. He is a retired oil and gas producer of over 50 years. Jerry always had a joke ready for everyone. He will be remembered for his gentle and giving nature, his comedic spirit. Jerry is survived by his soul mate and caregiver, Shirley Marmie; her daughter, LeVanelle Marmie-Thompson (Dennis Cramblett); her children, Sydney and Hunter Thompson; sisters, Doloris (Ralph) Pederson, Clarine (Jim) Baker, Twila (Harold) Smith, Virginia (Jim) Jacobs, Ritha (Ken) Linenberger, Rosemary "Sister Julia" Pfeifer; brothers, Herbert (Henrietta) Pfeifer, Gilbert Pfeifer; sisters-in-law, Betty Pfeifer, Velma Habiger, Sandy Pfeifer; brother-in-law, Al Fisher; numerous loving nieces and nephews; friends; and his many dog friends at the Rose Road Kennel. He is preceded in death by his sisters Anna Mary, Sr Alma Rose and brothers Floyd, Paul, Jim, Julius and Al. A Rosary Vigil will be held on WEDNESDAY, February 6, 2013, 6-7 p.m. at the PFEIFER FUNERAL HOME, 7915 E. Main St., Reynoldsburg, Ohio. A visitation will be held on THURSDAY, February 7, 2013, from 4-6 p.m. at the Christ Our Light Parish, St. Benedict Church, 701 Gomber Ave., Cambridge, Ohio, where a Funeral Mass will immediately follow at 6 p.m., with Father Robert Borer officiating. Burial with military honors will follow on Friday, 11:30 a.m. in the Union Grove Cemetery, 400 Winchester-Cemetery Road, Canal Winchester, Ohio.
