Hixon Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Hixon, age 93, of Columbus, Ohio. Our Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Great-Great-Grandmother, and Friend, went home with her Lord on Sunday, February 3, 2013. She was born December 26, 1919 to the late Alan and Hazel (Jones) Scoles. She was a special lady, who excelled in the kitchen, always baking for family, friends, and church. She loved being surrounded by family and friends, and was never too busy to listen or to offer her help. She was loved by all who knew her, and will be missed terribly. Betty was a long time member of Walnut Hill United Methodist Church, and was deeply involved with her faith. She loved working with her flower garden, and sitting on her porch waving at neighbors as they passed by. She also loved watching the British comedies on Public Television. She was preceded in death by husband Elmer Hixon, siblings Isabelle(Ray) McCoy, James (JoAnn) and William (Juanita) Scoles. She is survived by her sons, David (Judith), William (Allyson), and James (Ann) Dildine, Thomas (Susanne) Hixon; daughters, Kathy (George) Hakes, Nancy (Chuck) Shisler, Sandy (Thomas) Kincaid; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren too numerous to list, and friends. There will be a public Memorial Service on March 16, 2013, at 1 p.m. The service will be held at Walnut Hill United Methodist Church at 975 Rathmell Road in Columbus, Ohio. Interment will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S.
