Beverly Sue Flowers Obituary
Flowers Beverly Sue Flowers, born October 17, 1948 in Columbus, OH entered into eternal rest on February 8, 2013. She attended East High School and The Ohio State University, and retired as an Administrative Assistant from the State of Ohio in 2008 after 32.5 years of service. She held membership in A Quality of Sharing, Inc., The Junior League, and numerous animal rights organizations. She was widely known for her support to scholarship giving. A lifelong lover of music, Beverly played the violin and was the lead singer of the R&B group, The Stage Corporation, and wrote, performed and produced faith-filled songs. She is preceded in death by father and mother William B. and Daisy M. Flowers and twin brother Robert H. Flowers. She leaves to cherish her memories a devoted husband, Omer Ibrahim; son, Tarek Ibrahim, step-son, Bashar (Gabrielle) Ibrahim of EI Paso, TX; sisters, Dr. Melzia Flowers, Southfield, MI, Dr. Hazel Flowers, Alice (Jack Marchbanks) Flowers of Columbus, OH; brother, William C. Flowers of Hilliard, OH; mother-in-law, Fawzia Elzoobair; brother-in-law, Mohamed (Habab) Ibrahim; sisters-in-law, Shadia (Salama) Ibrahim, and Dr. Nahid (Dr. Khalid) Ibrahim; nieces, Belynne Poore of Lansdale, PA, and April Thornton of Raleigh, NC; and other loving relatives and friends. A memorial scholarship has been established in Beverly's honor at the Achieving Standards Of Excellence Foundation (ASOEF) , 1233 S. James Road, Suite A, Columbus, OH 43227. Services are private.
