Rice Rice, Marilyn Jean (Childers) of Columbus, Ohio (formerly of Centerville), passed away Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013. Marilyn attended Ohio State University and was a member of Alpha Phi sorority. Marilyn was a pioneer in the dance/drill team field. Among her many credits, she founded and directed the Centerville High School Coeds, now in its 53rd year. She was responsible for creating dance team competitions and camps in Ohio and surrounding states. While in Columbus, Marilyn formed the Ohio State Collegians Dance Team. She started her own dance costume manufacturing company known as Colorifics. Her company became very successful and sold nationally. Marilyn is survived by son, Scott (Sandy); daughter, Kristie Cochran; five grandchildren, four nieces and nephews, sister, Joan Childers Shaffer (Denny). The family will receive friends, Sunday February 17, 6-8 p.m. with funeral services Monday at 10:30 a.m. at SCHLIENTZ & MOORE FUNERAL HOME, 820 Miamisburg Centerville Rd.
