Drucilla (Johns) Williams Obituary
Williams Drucilla "Dee" Williams (nee Johns), passed away Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Westminster Thurber, Columbus, Ohio. She was born December 4, 1922 in Grove City, Ohio to the late DH and Eva Johns. Dee graduated from Columbus West High School (class of 1940), The Ohio State University and received her teaching certification from Capital University. She will be remembered for her generosity and her devotion to education. She was a member of First Community Church, the Columbus Maennerchor, The Athletic Club and Brookside Country Club. Dee was involved in TWIG and served on the Wing Council. She enjoyed traveling, swimming on sunny days and was an avid OSU sports fan. In more recent years, she enjoyed playing Bridge, Bingo and working crossword puzzles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Daryl E. Williams; survived by son and daughter-in-law, Daryl E. and Dena Williams and grandson, Devin of Houston, TX; step-grandchildren, Steve (Karen) Cox, Daryl Cox and Laura Cline; extended family and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43214 with visitation from 12Noon-1 p.m. Private family interment.
