Birch Harry J. Birch, age 85 of Lewis Center, Ohio, and formerly of Cleveland, Ohio and Jacksonville, FL, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Mt. Carmel-St. Ann's Hospital following a brief illness. Harry was born December 8, 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Joseph and Lillian (Donat) Brezina. Also preceding him death are his sisters Margaret Brezina, Dorothy Moravcik, Ruth Sims, and his first wife Alice (Sutter) Birch. Harry was an Industrial Engineer, retiring from General Motors following many years of service. He was also a Korean War Veteran serving in the U.S. Army. Harry is survived by his wife of 32 years, Martha; daughters, Kathy (David) Thomason, Betsy (Dale) Harmon and Sue Birch; step-sons, Michael (Kat) Schwartz and David Schwartz; grandchildren, Stayce (Jeff) Koegler, Chrystin Scheetz, Matt McKinney, Eric, Evan, and Grant Frady; great-grandchildren, Sarah and Max Koegler; and other relatives and friends. Harry was a talented musician, and an avid car enthusiast. A memorial service will be held 6 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2013 at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High Street, Worthington, OH 43085 with Rev. Mark Gauen officiating.
