Carter Lillie Mae Carter, 64 went home to be with the Lord March 3, 2013. She was born September 17, 1948 in Talucah, AL to Virginia L. nee Winton and Timothy A. Jennings Jr. She was an active member of Greater GLORY Ministries since 2001. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Leonard Jennings, great-niece Sheniqua Jennings-Bowers and brother-in-law Elton A. Jones. She is survived by children, Duane and George (Melissa) Carter; brothers, Alphonso (Darlene), Ellis (Tommye), Anthony and Darren Jennings; sisters, Elaine Jones and Sandra (Ted) Thaxton; four grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Family will receive friends on 11 a.m. until time of service 12Noon Friday, March 8, 2013 at Grace Apostolic Church, 1743 Lakeview. Bishop James Gaiters, Sr. pastor. Officiating Bishop Alphonso Jennings. Interment to follow. Arrangements entrusted to SMITH MORTUARY (formerly J Martin-Smith), 1904 Lake Club Dr., 447-9383.
