Peter Henry J. "Hank" Peter, age 80, passed away from a brain tumor on March 7, 2013 at his son's home. He was born on October 14, 1932 in Buffalo, New York to the late Henry K. and Mary (Waldenmeier) Peter. Hank was a graduate of The Ohio State University, served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a retired Prudential Insurance salesman. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing in Alaska and visiting relatives in Germany. He is survived by his son, Kenneth (Sheri) Peter; three daughters, Karen (Gary) Potter, Kathy (Roy Anderson) Peter, Mary Kay (Michael) Jowitt; his brother, Robert (Gerri) Peter; two grandchildren and one great-grand-daughter. Besides his parents, Henry was preceded in death by his wife Mary Peter. A gathering for friends and family will be held on Saturday, March 23, from 2-6 p.m. at his home.
