McCargish Lori Lynn McCargish, died Saturday, March 2, 2013 in Portland, OR. Born on October 18, 1960, she is survived by her father, Charles McCargish and his wife, Emily Pope; her mother, Nancy Boas and her husband, George Boas; her brother, Jeff McCargish and his wife, Kay; her brother, Alan McCargish and his wife, Stephanie; nephews, Brandon, Jackson, and Cooper; nieces, Ava, and Claire; aunts Joan, Suzie, Maggie, and Mary; cousins, Chris, Angela, Bonnie, Jennifer, and Drew. A graduate of Whetstone High School in Columbus, Ohio class of 1979, Lori's professional life after graduation centered on working in the performing and visual arts. She was an avid dancer for much of her life and pursued a degree in photography from The Ohio State University, graduating in 1985. As the director of the renowned ACME Art Company, Lori was a central figure in the cultural renaissance of Columbus' Short North district. In recent years, Lori's creative pursuits included paintings that combined watercolors, pastels, and photography. A burial service will take place Saturday, March 16 at Green Lawn Cemetery at 11 a.m. A memorial gathering will take place at Alana's Restaurant Sunday, March 17 at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Lori's name to: CHOICES for Victims of Domestic Violence, 530 E.
