Goldberger Donald H. Goldberger born October 7, 1927 to parents Joe and Helen Goldberger, died April 7, 2013. Graduated as president of his class from Cleveland Glenville High School in 1946. Donald graduated from The Ohio State University in 1950, majoring in TV and Radio Broadcasting with a minor in Horticulture and German, was a member of the Phi Sigma Delta Fraternity and worked for WCOL and WBNS-TV while in college. Following college, Donald was a DJ at WHIZ in Zanesville, worked as a Producer-Director at WICO-TV in Erie, PA and in sales at WERE Radio in Cleveland. He loved the Cleveland Indians and Browns. In 1952, Donald married Lila Lesnik, a few years later they moved to New York, then to Baltimore and finally ended up in Columbus since the early 1990's. Preceded in death by his wife Lila Goldberger and sister Marjorie Levine. He is survived by his daughters, Randy (Robert Jr.) Kaynes and Lisa (Allan) Pass; son, Dr. Bruce (Arlene) Goldberger; grandchildren, Jessica Kaynes, Stacy (James) Morton, Nicole and Ryan Oliver, Sarah and Jacob Goldberger, all of whom loved their "Poppy" dearly. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 9 at EPSTEIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 3232 E. Main St. with Rabbi Misha Zinkow officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Temple Israel Section.
