VanArtsdalen Joseph E. VanArtsdalen, of Centerville, Ohio, passed away Friday, April 19, 2013. He was preceded in death by his daughter Karla Thompson. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Shirley (Borger) VanArtsdalen; children, Joseph S., David (Pat), Kristina, Cheryl (Randy) Lyons, Susan (Andy) Krahling, Carrie (Paul) Arthur, and Michael; 17 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a brother, James; and his loving dog, Annie. Joe was born June 5, 1930 in Philadelphia, PA. He was veteran of both the Navy and the Air Force, retired member of the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local 162, a member of Incarnation Parish for 46 years, and served as a Euchuristic Minister for 36 years at Liberty, N.H. A Memorial Mass at the Church of the Incarnation, 7415 Far Hills Ave., Centerville, Ohio will be held Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 11 a.m. with visitation from 10-10:45 a.m. His stories will be missed by all!
