Hartmann Mark Herman Hartmann, age 66, passed away on May 10, 2013 at Riverside Methodist Hospital following a brief illness. Mark was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to Herman and Blanche Hartmann on April 10, 1947. Mark lived in South Dakota, Wisconsin and Ohio. He graduated from Bucyrus High School and Heidelberg University. He worked for the State of Ohio, Bureau of Workers Compensation. Mark was an avid reader and political junky. He proudly served as the president of the Glenford Village Association, where he resided. Mark enjoyed his many travels throughout the US and Europe. Mark was preceded in death by his beloved mother Blanche and his niece Katie. Mark is survived by his father, Herman; his brother, David (Arlene); his nephews, Matthew (Erica) and Christopher; his aunts, Elizabeth Ferguson, Dallas TX and Deanna Gazette, Germantown, NY; and his uncle, Stanley Boschee of Zeeland, ND; as well as his church family at North Congregational United Church of Christ. Memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at 3 p.m. at North Congregational United Church of Christ, 2040 West Henderson Road, with the Rev. Eric Williams officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial in Mark's memory to North Congregational United Church of Christ, 2040 West Henderson Rd., Columbus, OH 43220 or Heidelberg University, 310 E. Market Street, Tiffin, OH 44883-2462.
