Brown James J. "Jim" Brown, age 60, of Columbus, died on Monday, June 10, 2013 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Born in Columbus, November 28, 1952, he was a 1971 graduate of Westerville High School. Jim also served in the United States Army. Jim retired as a second shift patrol Sergeant from the Franklin County Sheriff's Office in 2012 after 33 devoted years of service. He is survived by wife, Angela (Fraganato) Brown; children, Carly and Kyle Albert and Natilly (Jason) Boals; mother, Sue Brown; brothers, Tony (Judy) Brown, Fred (Charlotte) Brown; sister-in-law, Terri DeRousse; brother-in-law, Steve Noel; special nephew, Brad (Bianca) Noel; and special niece, Kelley Brown; as well as numerous other nieces and nephews; loyal puppies, Harry and Annabella. Jim is preceded in death by his father Harry D. Brown, sister Mary Lou Noel, nephew and niece Robbie and Christy, beloved dog Gus. Jim's family will receive friends on Thursday, June 13, 2013, from 4-8 p.m. at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 West Fifth Avenue, Columbus, where an FOP Service will be held at 4 p.m. Funeral 12Noon Friday, June 14, 2013, St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 434 Norton Rd., (at Sullivant), Columbus, (614) 878-5353, with Chaplain Leo L. Connolly, Presiding. Burial to follow, Blendon Central Cemetery, Westerville.
