Campbell Marion Francis Campbell - age 86, born in Sidney Ohio February 7, 1927 passed away peacefully June 22, 2013 with his wife of 67 years and his son and daughter-in-law by his side. Veteran U.S. Navy where he served in WWII and the Naval Reserves. Worked for New York Central and Conrail with 42 years of service. 50 year member of New Carlile Lodge #100 F&AM. Preceded in death by son Robert Michael Campbell, parents Marion and Aleena Campbell, sisters Helen Bates, Shirley Campbell, Colleen Durcharm and brother Vernon Campbell. Survived by wife Bertha Campbell; son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Debi Campbell; grandchildren, Bobb (April) Campbell, Amy (Craig) Kellett, Michael Campbell, Jim(Kelly) Campbell and Kevin Campbell; sister, Carol Balchelder; sister-in-law, Lena (Carl) Gentry; numerous great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was a member of Columbia Heights U.M. Church (Columbus) and active in the Donnellsville Lutheran Church. After retiring he enjoyed working in the food pantry in Columbus and Springfield. Friends may call at Columbia Heights United Methodist Church, 775 Galloway Rd., Tuesday 10-11 a.m. where service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday. Rev. Nathan Custer officiating; Interment Alton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mt. Carmel Hospice or Life Care Alliance.
