William Gerstner Obituary

Gerstner William Gerstner, age 72, went home to be with the Lord on June 28, 2013. He was a longtime resident of the Marion Square Apartments in Columbus and was lovingly known as "Bicycle Bill" to numerous stations of the Columbus Fire Department. He was a longtime volunteer at Carrie's CafÃ© (Meals on Wheels). He is preceded in death by his father Charles "Pat" Gerstner and brother Larry Gerstner. He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth "Betty" Knowlton; stepfather, Dallas Knowlton; and brother, Charles Gerstner, all of Carey, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at SCHOEDINGER LINDEN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 2741 Cleveland Avenue, where a funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. Interment Green Lawn Cemetery.
