William Gerstner Obituary

Gerstner William Gerstner, age 72, went home to be with the Lord on June 28, 2013. He was a longtime resident of the Marion Square Apartments in Columbus and was lovingly known as "Bicycle Bill" to numerous stations of the Columbus Fire Department. He was a longtime volunteer at Carrie's Café (Meals on Wheels). He is preceded in death by his father Charles "Pat" Gerstner and brother Larry Gerstner. He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth "Betty" Knowlton; stepfather, Dallas Knowlton; and brother, Charles Gerstner, all of Carey, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at SCHOEDINGER LINDEN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 2741 Cleveland Avenue, where a funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. Interment Green Lawn Cemetery.
