Rapier Kathy J. Rapier, age 55, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Upper Arlington on Wednesday, July 10, 2013. Retired from the State of Ohio-Department of Jobs and Family Services. Preceded in death by mother Joe Ann Rapier, grandparents Arthur L. and Martha Rapier, Elsa Eldred. Survived by loving father, Arthur J. Rapier; brother, Arthur W. Rapier both of London, OH; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Robert Nasal of Powell, OH. Kathy was born in Dayton, OH and graduated from Columbus Technical Institute. She was active in the choir and Bible Study at her church, and had a lifelong love of animals. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, July 15, 2013 at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High St., Worthington, OH. Funeral Service 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Grace Brethren Church (Discipleship Center) at 8225 Worthington-Galena Rd., Westerville, OH. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at Paint Township Cemetery, 1869 Old Xenia Rd., London, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Columbus Zoo or the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) in Kathy's memory.
