William Sheldon Marshall Obituary
Marshall William Sheldon Marshall, age 78, was born July 3, 1935 in Columbus, OH and attended Culver Summers School. Marshall served in the U.S. Navy and was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #8198 in Grove City, as well as a member of the American Legion Post #0164, also a life member of the B.P.O.Elks Lodge #37 also of Grove City. Former Columbus J.C. and one of the founders of the North Columbus J.C.s. In the late 1980s hired by City of Grove City as downtown coordinator to work with the merchants in the revitalization of Grove City Town Center. He worked with Columbia Gas in providing gaslights and picking Gas Lighter as logo for Town Center, as well as running ads for farmers to participate in a Farms Market in the Town Center. He is preceded in death by his good friend and companion Linda. He is survived by children, Bunnie Jones, Bill Marshall, and Brad (Janet) Marshall and seven grandchildren. Family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway. Graveside services will be held at a later date.
