Crewe Robert Crewe ended his final cruise as captain of his ship on Saturday, July 27, 2013. He left his 1st mate, Patt, at the helm. With the help of his loyal and loving crew, Janice Monks, Marsha Crewe, and Jeff and Lori Crewe, grand passengers Jenine Monks, Alex and Rachael Crewe will embark on a new and exciting journey. Robert's tour of duty began on January 19, 1924 in Niagara Falls, New York with Adelia and Frank Crewe at the helm. Robert's anticipated tour with a professional baseball team was interrupted by the US Navy call to duty in the WWII pacific theater. Later ports of call at Michigan State University led him to marry his 1st mate and life companion of 65 years, Patt. His travels included a 32 year career with the Coca-Cola Company with ports of call in Lansing and Detroit, Michigan and Worthington and Dublin, Ohio. Continued contact with his associates at the Coca-Cola Company has been a joy and a compliment to his long term love of his work. Golf was his passion and his associations with the York Golf Club and the Dublin Recreation Center gave him much pleasure. Robert and his 1st mate traveled with the Road Scholar program which gave them long term education and adventures throughout their retirement.
