Clodfelter Harve Malone Clodfelter, Jr., of Galena, Ohio, passed away on March 2, 2014. Born March 30, 1939, to the late Dr. Harve, Sr. and Martha (Lambert) Clodfelter in Columbus, Ohio. Graduated from Bexley High School in 1957 and from Ohio State University in 1961 with a bachelor of arts in history. Veteran of the U.S. Navy (1961-1965), chemistry and physics teacher at Mansfield High School, and retired chemist. Survived by wife of 50 years, Mary Roberta (Harris) Clodfelter; siblings, Ellen (Clodfelter) and Edwin Collier, and Martha Lou (Clodfelter) Reed; children, Scott and Kristen (Paulson) Clodfelter, Julia Kay (Clodfelter) and Chuck Coughlin, Amy Clodfelter, and Marc (Clodfelter) and Brian Day; grandchildren, Rusty Coughlin, Ellie Clodfelter, Ben Coughlin, Liam Clodfelter and Sam Clodfelter; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by sister Marian (Clodfelter) Kirk. Harve had a gentle and curious spirit, a mischievous sense of humor and loved watching Bugs Bunny cartoons with his grandchildren. Memorial service will be held on Friday, March 7, 2014, at 4:30 p.m., Sunbury United Methodist Church, 100 West Cherry Street, Sunbury, Ohio. Family requests no flowers; instead, memorial contributions may be made to Mount Carmel Palliative Care, 6150 E. Broad Street, Columbus, OH, 43213, or to the Council for Older Adults of Delaware County, 800 Cheshire Road, Delaware, OH, 43015.
