McVeigh James L. McVeigh, 89, of East Fifth Street, Waverly, Ohio, died 6:30 p.m. Sunday, 9 March 2014 in Traditions at Bristol Village, Waverly, Ohio. He was born 9 April 1924 in Bremen, Ohio the son of the late Joseph Clifton McVeigh and Edythe Adeline (Smith) McVeigh. He was united in marriage to Eva C. McVeigh and later to Marian McVeigh both who preceded him in death. Surviving are son, James R. McVeigh and wife, Imozelle of Chula Vista, California; daughter, Ruth Ann Corder and husband, Robert of Cary, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Brian Corder and Kimberly E. Kelly and husband, David, sister, Grayce M. Sills of Columbus, Ohio and special friend, Shirley Resler of Waverly. His parents, wives, brother Emil McVeigh and a sister Mabel Arnold preceded James in death. James attended Waverly Grace United Methodist Church, was a retired Reservation Manager for United Air Lines, a graduate of The Ohio State University, class of 1948 and was a life long Buckeye fan. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, 12 March 2014 at the BOYER FUNERAL HOME in Waverly with Pastor Dan Evory, officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Bremen, Ohio.
