Jay Dalgarn Obituary

Dalgarn Sr. Jay Dee Dalgarn Sr., 73, of Pataskala, went home to the Lord, March 20, 2014, after a five year battle with Cancer. Jay was born April 30, 1940 in Columbus, Ohio to John and Iona Dalgarn. He is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Linda Dalgarn of Pataskala; his mother, Iona Dalgarn of Pataskala; his children, Jay Jr. (Molly) of Brentwood, TN., Jon (Becky) of London, Robert (Michelle) of Granville, Jennifer (Scott) of Powell, and Julie (Matt) of Pataskala; eight grandchildren; a niece, a nephew, and six grand nieces and nephews. His father John Dalgarn, and brother Jim Dalgarn precede Jay in death. Special thanks to Dr. Jacqueline Jones and the Oncology department of Licking Memorial Hospital and Hospice of Licking country for their loving care and support during Jay's illness. Family will be receiving friends at six o'clock in the evening, Thursday, March 27 to celebrate Jay's life at Tri-Village Christian Church, 7509 East Broad St. SW, Pataskala, Ohio 43062. A memorial service will follow at seven.

Linda and family,
I too had the pleasure of caring for Jay the past 5 years. What a Guy! Always so kind, upbeat, and wearing a smile. He did fight courageously, but now is resting quietly in Heaven.
He will be deeply missed.

Sorry to hear of my cousin's passing. His dad and my mother were siblings. I have fond memories of Thanksgivings spent at Uncle Johnnies and Aunt Iona's farm and playing with Jay and Jimmy.
