Rozanne, Please accept my heartfelt condolences to you and the entire Steinhoff family. Bill and I were fellow Parole Officers and became good friends in the late 70's (or early 80's), and after 2 promotions, became my boss in Rikers Island in 1991. After retiring, we kept in touch with each other. The world is a sadder place without him. You made his last years very happy.

I would like to send a Mass card.
after the funeral, I will call you for your address, or you can send it to me at 209 Clubhouse Drive, Patchogue, NY 11772.

It is with deep sadness that I learn of Bill passing. I have known Bill since 1977 when we first met at work in NYC. Over the years Bill and I together with other colleagues worked together jointly on many cases. He was one of the finest parole officers I have ever worked with. He was not only a partner but he was a good friend. The last time I saw him was several years ago when we both attended the retiree brunch together on Long Island. I will truly miss Bill. Martha and I extend our heart felt condolences to his wife Rozanne and his children and grand children.

Bill and Rozanne moved into our condo neighborhood about a year and a half ago. What a wonderful addition to our community. John and I feel blessed to have known gentle Bill for the too short time we did. We send our deepest condolences to Rozanne, to Bill's family and to Rozanne's family. May the memories of the good times shared help sustain you in the days ahead.
