Thomas Marilyn K. Thomas, age 66, of Centerburg, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2014 at her home. She was born on March 25, 1948 in East Liverpool, Ohio to the late John and Anna (McChancey) Provost. Marilyn worked at Interfaith Counseling Clinic and most recently with The Ohio State University. She attended Grace Lutheran Church in Centerburg. Marilyn was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be forever remembered for her strong will and determination to overcome the adversities placed in front of her. She is survived by her husband, Robert Thomas, whom she married on November 20, 1986; her children, Laura (Hamish) Cooper Baird of Columbus and Brian Cooper of Columbus; three grandchildren, Catherine Sophia Baird, Devon Baird and Braden Baird; two brothers, Robert (Rita) Provost of Sacramento, California, David (Racquel) Provost of Darbydale; two sisters, Kathy (Bert) Doddroe of Orient and Vicky Logan of Norfolk, Virginia; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2014 beginning at 2 p.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church, 182 W. Houck Street, Centerburg, Ohio 43011. Pastor Christine Widrig will be officiating. A Celebration of Life will follow the memorial service at the Thomas home on Bishop Rd.
