Lois Conrad Obituary

Conrad Lois R. Conrad went to be with her Lord on Monday, August 18, 2014 from her home at Halcyon Village in Marysville. A 1949 graduate of The Ohio State University, School of Social Work, she completed post-degree K-8 teacher certification and taught middle school over a 24 year career in the Marysville school district. She was active in The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International for Key Women Educators, Union County Retired Teachers Association, Union County Historical Society, Aletheia Society, and Hannah Circle at Trinity Lutheran Church. Lois was born November 28, 1927 in Lakewood, OH, to the late Louis B. and Louise P. (Cassese) Dellabarca. She was preceded in death by her her husband of 60 years, Wilfred "Tobe" Conrad, and her sister Doris Dellabarca. She is survived by her children, Deborah (Don) Hohman of Medina, Cheryl (John) DoBroka of Columbus, David Conrad of Playa del Rey, CA; a granddaughter, Sarah DoBroka of Charlotte, NC; a sister, Delores (Robert) Gehring of North Olmsted, and a number of nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the INGRAM FUNERAL HOME, 975 N. Maple St., Marysville. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 311 E. 6th St., Marysville with the Revs. Barry Scott and Kathy Reiff officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery immediately following the service. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund or to Loving Care Hospice, in care of the funeral home.
