Gregg Elliott Johnston

Johnston Gregg Elliott Johnston, age 54, of Hilliard, passed away unexpectedly Friday, August 12, 2016. Gregg was born in Sandusky, Ohio and grew up in Wilmington, Delaware, son of the late Edsall and Elaine Johnston Jr. Gregg graduated from Baldwin Wallace University and has worked for 30 years with Kimball Midwest, most recently as the Marketing Manager. Gregg was an extremely outgoing person who touched countless lives. He was always positive, upbeat, and loved life. In addition, Gregg was a true sports enthusiast. He played numerous sports but also enjoyed watching sports, organizing sporting pools, collecting memorabilia and attending events. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #1427. He will be greatly missed by his loving partner of 15 years, Lisa Goodman; Lisa's children, Virginia Nichole (fiancé, Desmond Todd) Jones and Alexandra Ann Goodman; Virginia's daughter, Maddylin Jones; sister, Lauren (Robert) Hannigan; brother, Scott (Marlene) Johnston; nephew, Tyler Naiman; niece, Sarah Naiman; Lisa's parents, John and Barbara Smith; and many other extended family members, colleagues, and dear friends. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 19, 2016 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., where family will receive friends and truly celebrate Gregg's amazing life from 4-8 p.m. Thursday. At a later date Gregg's ashes will be spread at Long Beach Island, NJ, a place very special to the family.
