Vickie Skowronek Obituary

Skowronek Vickie T. Skowronek, of South Bloomfield, passed away December 11, 2016 at Riverside Hospital. She was born on April 22, 1965 to the late Mr and Mrs Harry J. Skowronek. Vickie graduated from Groveport Madison High School and then later went on to build herself an amazing career at the Columbus Kroger Bakery. She is survived by her beloved husband, John Bittinger who was at her beckon call day or night; her son, Casey (Desiree) Skowronek whom she cherished all her life, he was her strength; brother, Joe (Leola) Skowronek of Ashville and their children, Jessica, Erica, and Joseph Skowronek; her precious grandchildren, Arianna, Jaxson and Elena Skowronek, they were her breath; aunt, Veronica "Caca"(Gale) McNeal; cousin and best friend, Tamitha Howard (Charles) Gillum, they shared their extremely ornery moments together, known as the 21st century "THELMA AND LOUISE" they had no regrets; as well as many dear friends. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas and she had a passion for baking Christmas cookies and handing them out as gifts to many. She loved to go on drives and look at all the Christmas lights. When spring and summer came around she was outside gardening and taking care of her flowers, in the fall she loved bonfires with family and friends. She was truly a one-of-a-kind and an amazing woman. Vickie loved and was loved by many. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the OLIVER-CHEEK FUNERAL HOME, 420 W. Main St., Ashville, a brief memorial service will follow at 8 p.m. For those who wish, contributions may be made to the St. Jude Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
