Michael Sivick Obituary
Michael Sivick, 86, of Westerville, OH, formerly of Cheektowaga, NY, passed away August 12, 2017. He was born on April 17, 1931 to the late Anthony and Mary (Vrabel) Sivick in Buttonwood, PA. He graduated from Nanticoke High School in 1949, where he was involved in both football and wrestling. He proudly served his country in the US Navy from 1949-1953. In 1954, he married Rose Jarvis; they had four girls and were married 59 years before Rose passed away in 2013. Mike, a gifted auto mechanic, enjoyed spending time woodworking, home remodeling, fishing, vegetable and flower gardening, feeding his backyard birds, and trying his luck at the casino. He was a loyal Buffalo Bills fan, who enjoyed keeping up with both politics and the latest news on Facebook. Along with his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter Susan Marcklinger, his younger brother Stan, and longtime friends Ron and Marcia Chmiel. He is survived by loving children, Linda Sivick (Peter Furkey), Michelle (Steven) Nelson, and Jane (Jim) Kendall; and grandchildren, Craig (Victoria) Marcklinger, Kalie Sivick, Kate (Patrick) Nelson-Hanley, Amanda, Laura, and Julie Nelson, Tori and Alex Warren, Celeste, Brandon, and Andrew Kendall; and much more extended family. A memorial mass will be held Saturday, September 2 at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Church, 6077 Sharon Woods Blvd., Columbus, Rev. Fr. Charles Cotton, celebrant, followed by a luncheon.
