Thomas H. Snider, age 65, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at his home in Hilliard, Ohio surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Tom was born in Columbus, Ohio to Mary Lou McCormick and the late Herbert W. Snider. He was a graduate of Lakewood HS. He obtained his bachelor degree from Case Western Reserve and was a National Board Certified Toxicologist. Tom retired from Battelle Memorial Institute after approximately 32 years, and the past 2 years he was employed at Sawdey Solution Services. Tom was a member, for 22 years, at Northwest Chapel, and has taught children's bible school and participated in the men's bible study groups. He enjoyed being a servant of The Lord, as well as reading his Bible, books of theology and books by John Grisham. Tom had a passion for woodworking, gardening and traveling. He took pride in being a good husband, father and grandfather. He cherished the times with his family and friends. He held a special place in the hearts of those who knew him and will truly be missed. Tom was preceded in death by his father Herbert W. Snider, stepmother Bonnie Snider, father-in-law Gerald M. Cooley, brother-in-law Gerald E Cooley and nephew Tony Coleman. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Pamela Snider; his children, Emily (Micah) Nuzum of Wooster, OH, Marta (Alex) Rouse of New Albany, OH, Katie, Kayla and Ben Snider of Hilliard; grandchildren, Ruthie, Daniel, Lydia, Grace, Joseph, Sienna and August. Also survived by his mother, Mary Lou (McCormick )Snider; brothers, William D. (Kendra) of Bellevue WA, George I. (Denith) of Pataskala, OH, John R. (Diana) of Heath, OH; sisters, Virginia G. (Thomas) Brinkman of Volin, SD, Beth A. Snider of Sandy Hook, KY; mother-in-law, Donna Cooley of Johnstown, OH; sisters-in-law, Deborah (Kent) Cheek of Hilliard, Patricia Cooley of Bexley, OH; and brother-in-law, Brian Cooley of Cardington, OH. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends. Family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. FRIDAY at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, OH 43026, (614)-876-1722, where his Funeral Service will be held 10a.m. SATURDAY, JULY 7, 2018 with Pastor Rob Barlow officiating. Private family burial will be held on Sunday at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Columbus. Although I never had the pleasure of meeting your Dad, Tom. I extend my deepest sympathy to your family in his loss. Emily may God comfort and hold you near in the days ahead. I celebrate in knowing he knew his savior and is experiencing JOY we cannot comprehend. Love you sweet Em!

I am so saddened to hear this. Went to Lakewood with Tom, he was always friendly and had a smile. It was a pleasure knowing him and I think heaven has gained another angel. The family is in my thoughts and prayers.

My sincere condolences to Tom's family and friends. I had the pleasure of working with and interacting with Tom at Battelle. Tom was always a pleasure to be around. He was always unassuming but worked very hard to meet the program milestones and keep things on track. He leaves many lasting accomplishments in his many years at Battelle.

Tom was unassuming but he worked hard and always met the milestones needed to keep everything on track. He was highly regarded by everyone around him. Tom was a wonderful friend, exceptional father and outstanding
scientist. He is missed very much. We shared many great memories of
significant moments and times in both our lives and he is forever in my heart.

My deepest sympathy and condolences to all Tom's family and friends. With hope of comfort in the example he set, his many accomplishments including his long time service at Battelle and all the jobs his efforts helped to create.
