FULTON – Clara Steele Perry, 90, died Sunday, March 30, 2014, at The Meadows. She was born Dec. 12, 1923, to Ezra and Glendolen Grissom Steele. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She enjoyed flower gardening.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Dr. Don Baggett officiating. Burial will be in Harden's Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include one son, Larry F. Perry (Barbara) of Fulton; one brother, James Steele (Josie) of Fulton; five sisters, Stella Russell, Ruth Justice, Jean Blankenship and Barbara Steele, all of Fulton, and Anna Volts (Keith) of Virginia; one granddaughter, Angela Davis (Mark); three grandsons, Chris Perry (Pam), Eric Perry and Matt Perry; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd L. Perry; one son, Danny Perry; one brother, Glen Steele; one sister, Millie Bland; and her parents.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Clara was a first cousin to my mother in law, but she was one of my first friends when I graduated from college,married,moved to Fulton and joined Trinity Baptist Church. She mentored me and meant so much to me. Our memories together are so precious to me. My sincere condolences to the family.
