CORINTH – John ""Johnny"" Gilmore died Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. He was born on July 24, 1941, in Corinth to Wid and Nora McCrary Gilmore. He was a member of the Tri-State Fly Wheelers Antique Tractor Club, Tri-State Coin & Relic Club, and the Holt Spur Fire Department. He loved to collect coins, Indian and Civil War relics, metal detecting, and motorcycles. He was a people person.
Services are set for 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Frank Smith officiating. Burial will be in Rowland Mills Cemetery in Burnsville.
Survivors include his wife, Bettie Gilmore; two brothers, Troy Gilmore and Mac Gilmore and wifem Sharon; one sister, Betty Maness; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Carol, Jimmy, Terry and Jerry Gilmore.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. to service time Thursday at the funeral home.
