Milton Downs

BOONEVILLE – Milton Downs, 88, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at Baldwyn Nursing Facility. He was born Jan. 21, 1926, to John and Mealie Stone Downs. He was a retired truck driver and he was of the Baptist faith.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Chuck Boxx and Bro. Jerry Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in the Little Brown Cemetery.
He is survived by four daughters, Terrye (Ray) Livingston and Judy (Randy) Mackin, both of Booneville, Betty (George) Williams of Tupelo, and Pat Downs of Joliet, Ill.; one son, John (Stephanie) Downs of Booneville; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Nova Keenum Downs; his second wife, Lorraine Hatcher Downs; one son, Wayne Downs; three great-grandchildren, Michelle Niblett, T. J. Williams, and Samuel Edge; and 10 siblings.
Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. today and until service time on Friday at McMillan Funeral Home.
