PONTOTOC – Ricky Lee Kimbro, 59, died Thursday, March 20, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. He was born Nov. 1, 1954, in Aurora, Ill., to Clifford Kimbro and Lois Powell Kimbro. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps
. He was former owner of Holder Furniture in Houlka, but was currently disabled. He was a member of Charity Baptist Church. He loved to spend time with his family, and his joy was in the kitchen cooking.
Services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 23, at United Funeral Service Chapel in New Albany with the Rev. Nathan Ward officiating. Burial will be in Glenfield Memorial Park. United Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Debbie Kimbro of Pontotoc; two daughters, Jeniffer Stilwell (Chris) of Ecru and Kristin Walden (Nick) of Corinth; two sisters, Barbara Donaldson (Ed) and Karen Fleming, both of Aurora, Ill.; a brother, Billy Kimbro (Beth) of Aurora, Ill.; and two grandchildren, Courtney and Tori Stilwell.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Caroline Whitehead, Ruby Kimbro and Cliffetta Kimbro; and two brothers, Tommy Kimbro and Dennis Kimbro.
Pallbearers will be Lonnie Shook, Calvin Powell, Mike Bordenkircher, Mark Whitehead, Brad Jackson, Alex Jackson, Steven King and Gary Halcomb.
Visitation will be from noon until 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
In honor of Mr. Kimbro, United Funeral Service Inc. will fly the flag of the U.S. Marine Corps at the funeral home during visitation and service.
