NEW ALBANY – Betty Joyce Gregory, 60, died Sunday, May 4, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County. She was born March 31, 1954, in New Albany to Hershel Lamar Gregory and Dorothy Faye Hall Gregory. She was a customer service representative and a former 4-H leader. She was a member of Ingomar Baptist Church.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, at United Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Andy Russell and the Rev. Jeff Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Glenfield Memorial Park. United Funeral Service in New Albany is in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Faye Hall Gregory; a daughter, Christy Haynie Hall (Ben); a son, Daniel Britt Haynie (Amanda); her longtime companion, Mike Reeder; children of her heart, Michele Whatley (Bill) and Joey Reeder (Christy); two sisters, Polly Coltharp (David) and Donna Cochran (Buddy); three brothers. Johnny Gregory (Cindy), Bill Gregory and Scott Gregory (Susan); and three grandchildren, Lydia Haynie, Reese Haynie and Sam Whatley.
She was preceded in death by her father, Hershel Lamar Gregory.
Pallbearers will be Rance Clayton, Jason Clayton, Matt Richardson, Johnathan Gregory, Jonathan Martin, Bill Whatley, Steve Prewett and Joey Reeder.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to breast cancer research or 4-H.
