MYRTLE – Charles ""Charlie"" Earnest Knight, 77, died Saturday, June 21, 2014, at his residence. He was born June 22, 1937, in McNairy County, Tenn., the son of Sherman Finley and Annie Ree Budlong Knight. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and attended Union Grove Family Worship Center. He was a U.S. Army veteran, and he was retired as a self-employed residential contractor.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, at Glenfield Funeral Home with the Rev. John Earnest Budlong and the Rev. Ryan Napalo officiating. Burial will be in Enterprise Cemetery. Glenfield Funeral Home of New Albany is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are stepsons, Paul Ausburn of Olive Branch and Randy Douell of Southaven; stepdaughter, Patricia Newman of Baldwyn; brother, Willard Dean Knight of Nashville, Tenn.; uncle, the Rev. John Earnest Budlong; nine step-grandchildren; and 11 stepgreat-grandchildren.
His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m today at the funeral home.
