Charles Williams Obituary

Charles Allen "Charlie Boo" Williams, 55, died Friday, May 13, 2016 in Tupelo as the result of a gunshot wound to the head ruled as a homicide. Born June 15, 1960 in Tupelo, he was the son of Charlie McDonald "Mac" Williams and Wilma Jeanette Parker. A Baptist, Charlie was known far and wide as a pleasing personality an avid conversationalist and a practical jokester. He managed the Chevron station at Crosstown for years and worked for the Lee County Agri Center and the City of Tupelo. At the time of his death, he was a cab driver for A-1 Cab Service. Charlie Boo was a widely known wrestler in his day and, with his partner, Greg Hawks, was known as the "Mississippi Blondes". He loved the outdoors and fishing in particular.

A service of remembrance will be held at 4 PM Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Bro. Dale Carr officiating. Burial to follow in Auburn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 PM-7PM today and from 2 PM service time on Wednesday, all at Holland-Tupelo Chapel, which is honored to be serving the family.

He is survived by his daughters, Brandy Williams, Kelly Williams, Shelly Williams, Casey Jahns and Ariel Griffin, all of Tupelo. His parents, Mac Williams (Frances) and Wilma "Bobbie" Williams all of Tupelo. His siblings, Paul Williams (Martha) of Guntown, Jackie Williams (Ramona) of Auburn, Chuck Williams (Heather) of Tupelo and Angie Riley (Sam) of Plantersville. 9 grandchildren: Hayden, Brayden, Roman, Kayleigh, Brianna, Tay, Charlie Boo, Alaina (baby Alijah due in June) and Seth. The mother of his biological children, Brenda Williams Griffin of Tupelo. Special friends, Greg Hawks and Aaron Holt.
