ORANGE BEACH, Ala. – Services for Georgia Taylor Fisher, 81, will be at 11:30 a.m. today, Feb. 22, 2014 , at First Baptist Church in Leland. The Rev. Jon Doler will officiate. Burial will be in Leland-Stoneville Cemetery. Boone Funeral Home of Leland is in charge of arrangements.

She died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, Ala. She was born Sept. 24, 1932, to George O. and Elzine Gadd Taylor. She was a graduate of Hickory Flat High School and Delta State College. She was a teacher in Hereford, Texas, and Potts Camp, and an assistant for Dr. Fred Fisher in Leland. She worked for and retired from Olin Chemical in Leland. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Leland.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Vanessa Stewart (Squeaky) of Orange Beach, Ala.; son-in-law, Mike Godwin (Diane) of Starkville and Louisville; seven grandchildren, Amber, Malory, Taylor and Blake Fisher, Shane and Walker Stewart of Orange Beach, Ala., and Lane Godwin of Starkville; a brother, Don O. Taylor (Jane) of Hickory Flat; and a sister, Patricia Taylor of Cutoff, La.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles D. Fisher; her son, George Scott ""Scotty"" Fisher; her daughter, Margaret Ann Fisher Godwin; and her brother, Robert L. Taylor.
Pallbearers will be Robert Dean, Mac Gower, Matt Gower, Don Burton, Bubba Frankle and Alan Clark.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.
