FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. – Kenneth G. Graham, 84, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014. He was born in Mantachie to Vivian and Guy Graham. He attended Mississippi State University and graduated with a master's degree in 1951. While at Mississippi State he ran for student body president against Jerry Clower and, though the race was close, he lost. He served in the Air Force from 1951-1955 and was stationed in the Philippines and Eglin Air Force Base. After leaving the Air Force, he began a 39-year career in education. He taught biology at Choctaw High School for 37 years. At Choctaw he was the Interact Club sponsor, Science Department head, and oversaw many science fairs. By the end of his career, he had taught generations of local families' children. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Fort Walton Beach where he served as a deacon, Sunday school department leader and sang in the choir.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Geri; daughters, Beth (Charlie) Clary and Amy Ingram; granddaughters, Joanna (Mark) Bonfanti and Laura (Martin) Bayr; and great-grandchildren, Lucy Bonfanti and John Bayr; and sisters, Clarice (Lynton) Younger and Hilma Joyce (Jackie) Davis.
The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, March 1, with the service to follow at 10 a.m., at Emerald Coast Funeral Home at Fort Walton Beach, Fla.
