Fannie Ruth Freeman Obituary
ST. LOUIS – Fannie Ruth Freeman passed away on August 25, 2014, at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. She was born on January 10, 1928, in Tupelo to Lawrence and Fannie Edwards and was blessed to have had 11 sibling. She was reared and educated in the Tupelo School System. She was the widow of John Wesley Freeman. She was a retired nurse assistant, where she took pride in her job and in everything she did in life. She displayed a strong self confidence. She was devoted to her family.
Her life celebration service will be held today, Sept. 3, at noon at People's community Baptist Church, the Rev. Robert Jamison officiating, Burial will be in Porter's Memorial Park. Grayson-Porter's Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by her two sons, Larry Freeman and Elmer (Dorothy) Freeman of St. Louis, Mo.; sister, Leora Edwards of Tupelo; two brothers, Eddie Edwards (Victoria) and Obie ""BeBe"" Edwards of Tupelo; five grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents and her siblings, Minnie, Mary, Althea, James, Glen, John, Lawrence and Clyde.
