RIPLEY – Jimmy Dan Graves, 72, passed away at the Memphis Regional I Medical Center in Memphis, Tenn., on Saturday, August 23, 2014. Mr. Graves was born to Louis Gambel Jr. and Hazel Simpson Graves in Benton County. He was retired from Hill Brothers Construction Company. He was previously employed as service manager for several car dealerships. He was a member of Beech Hill Church of Christ.|
Services will be 2 p.m. today, August 26, 2014, at McBride Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Patrick Chapman officiating. Burial will be in Beech Hill Cemetery. McBride Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Stroupe Graves, Ripley; three daughters, Sonjie Graves Davis (Kerry), Walnut, Dana Graves Chapman (Rodney), Ripley, and Julie Graves Johnson (Craig), Myrtle; his twin sister, Martha Ann Freeman, Ripley; five grandchildren, Wesley and Carree Davis, Cole and Caroline Chapman, and Caleb Graves.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers will be Cole Chapman, Wesley Davis, Coleman Simpson, Eddie Carpenter, Ted Hobson and Greg Harrison. Honorary pallbearers will be Carree Davis, Caroline Chapman, Caleb Graves, Rosco Story, Donnie Hopkins and Junior Carpenter.
Visitation will be today, August 26, 2014, from 7 a.m. until service at the funeral home.
