BANNER - Roscoe E. Lantrip, 99, died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, at his home. He was born Jan. 12, 1914, in Houlka. He was retired from Red River Arsenal. He served in the U.S. Navy for more than six years. He was a member of The Church of Christ.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today, Nov. 24, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Bruce. Bro. Keith Benefield will officiate. A service will also be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Eastside Funeral Home, Texarkana, Ark. Burial will follow at Faulk Cemetery, Faulk, Ark. Parker Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ann Lantrip, Banner; stepdaughter, Fredia Hardin, Banner; two stepsons, Junior Hillhouse (Jennifer) of Bruce and Lanny Hillhouse (Celia) of Bruce; 11 grandchildren and a special grandchild, Stevie Heath.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis Andy Lantrip and Cora Collums Lantrip; two brothers, Dennis and Brooks Lantrip; two sisters, Syble Cates and Geneva Cates Herring; and a stepson, Steve Allen Hillhouse.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Fred Aron, Jim Earl Aron, Joe Aron, Charles Chrestman, Cliff Easley Jr., Bill Goodwin, Junior Hillhouse and Lanny Hillhouse.
Visitation will be from noon to 3 p.m. today.
